  • CO House of Representatives District 6 Town Hall: Candidates Iris Halpern and Sean Camacho

A Colorado Springs native, Rep. Sean Camacho grew up in a working-class, military family. At 18, he earned admission to the Air Force Academy, deployed four times, and used the GI Bill to go to law school. Now, he is raising his two young boys with his wife, Jess, in Denver while practicing law and continuing to serve as an Air Force Reservist. Outside of his legal work, he has advocated for important Democratic issues, helped lead non-profits, assisted veterans and individuals in protecting their rights, and helped at-risk youth develop plans for a successful future.

In the legislature, he has fought for educators, mental healthcare, gun reform, affordability, and more—producing big policy wins, such as a $2500 raise for DPS teachers and staff.

What is the East Colfax Neighborhood Association?

The East Colfax Neighborhood Association (ECNA) is a Registered Neighborhood Organization (RNO) recognized by the City and County of Denver. That means we’re an official channel for sharing information, voicing community concerns, and representing our neighborhood in city planning, development, and policy decisions. But more than that, we’re a volunteer group of neighbors working to build connection—by hosting monthly meetings, sharing resources, organizing local events, and making sure East Colfax has a voice in the conversations that shape it.
